William Tinsley moved back to Cincinnati when commissions slowed in Indianapolis. He joined with Anderson & Hannaford to bid in the Third Street Masonic Temple competition. John Hamilton who joined with James McLaughlin for the competition won the commission. They offered their services for free for the new Orphan Asylum building which also went to James McLaughlin.

The ad lists 2 commissions. First, "Rail Road Buildings" at 3rd and Sycamore. Buildings as yet not located or verified if built. The Blake Building in Indianapolis was at Washington & Illinois, likely designed by Tinsley as he was established there.
