The big issue is the support of the people or process model to identify and access huge number of demanding sources. Conventional physical resources are offering their services but unfortunately, they are not offering the timely support of the clients. In addition, they are not providing any support related to the usage of the resources, if required by the client. There are a lot of challenges in the world IT sector such as cost, security, availability, and resiliency, etc. Cloud Computing offers a unique set of capabilities to remove these challenges of clients. The cloud is very likely to be relied on by people. So, the main focus of this book is to popularize the cloud computing for the people. My book focuses on the emergence of new economic models (such as cloud computing) in the present and future. Moreover, it also covers the new services provided by cloud and the emerging applications. The book will,
26 makes clear, the emerging paradigms have driven us to rethink how we use IT to deliver the services currently offered by computing center. However, cloud computing is not a ubiquitous technology, nor is it just about delivering services on demand over the Internet. Cloud computing relies on large-scale collaborations to realize. Furthermore, the data and technology infrastructure that cloud computing utilizes has to be abstracted as well. Virtualization, a science-based technology concept, has been one of the key foundations of cloud computing. As we see, many approaches for virtualization have been investigated over the years. But, virtualization or computing in a virtual environment does not automatically translate into cloud computing; this does not seem to be widely appreciated. The original definition of cloud computing introduced in 2005 by McKerrall and Bostrom [ 2 ] describes two main defining elements. First, the cloud computing or cloud refers to the use of on-demand computing, storage, and databases, rather than traditional, static, and expensive hardware. The second defining element is the usage of the storage and computing infrastructure as a utility. Customers should not be aware of the internal infrastructure composing the cloud computing environment. The data security and availability between computers in a cloud environment are critical, as are mechanisms to retrieve data quickly and at any time. This book focuses on improving data security and performance by protecting data and ensuring its availability and accessibility. The two main techniques are virtualization and cloud architecture implementations. d2c66b5586
